Temporary price changes from 23.03.2026

Dear Valued Customer,

We would like to inform you that due to the escalation in the Middle East, the HDPE raw material market is being significantly impacted. As a result, raw material suppliers have implemented large surcharges on virgin HDPE materials, with retroactive effect from 01.03.2026. In addition, there has been initial reports from individual raw material suppliers who have been invoking force majeure since 09.03.2026.

Please note that the surcharges have been imposed on us with immediate effect. At this stage, it remains uncertain whether this will be the final increase and for what duration this surcharge will apply. The market situation is highly volatile, and we will continue to monitor developments closely.

We are certain that steel and tinplate products will most likely follow suit, but will update you in due course.

We would like to clearly explain that this surcharge applies strictly to virgin HDPE material only and does not apply to PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) material. This means: Products containing 30% PCR will only be subject to a 70% surcharge, as the increase applies solely to the virgin portion of the material. Recycled content (PCR) itself is currently not impacted by this increase.

New pricing applies immediately to all new orders from Monday 23^rd March 2026. For orders already placed, the surcharges will not apply to deliveries/collections.

We have made every effort to absorb cost increases wherever possible. However, given the magnitude and retroactive nature of this surcharge, we have no alternative but to implement this adjustment.

Additionally, from 1^st April 2026, the government ‘s Plastic Packaging Tax will increase from £223.69 to £228.82 per tonne.
